PAYMENT OPTIONS

Private Pay

In Focus Psychotherapy LLC accepts private pay. Accepted payment methods include cash, check, credit or debit card, and Health Savings Accounts. The payment method will be established when scheduling your first appointment. Payment can be made in advance or at the time of service.

Some benefits of private pay:

  • You do not need to have a documented mental health diagnosis to receive therapy

  • Your therapy goals and frequency and number of sessions can be determined collaboratively with your therapist, instead of set by your insurance carrier

  • Your records remain confidential (within limits of the law) between you and your therapist

Insurance

In Focus Psychotherapy LLC does not accept insurance. A receipt will be provided for each payment you make, which you may choose to submit for potential insurance reimbursement. It is highly recommended you contact your insurance company to discuss out-of-network benefits and reimbursements before scheduling your first appointment.

Sample questions to ask your health insurance carrier:

  • Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?

  • Do I have a deductible and has it been met?

  • Is approval or a referral required from my primary care physician?

  • Is there a limit to how many sessions are covered each year?

  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?

  • Do I need a diagnosis and/or CPT Code on my receipt? Common CPT Codes include:

    • Diagnostic Assessment CPT Code: 90791

    • Individual Psychotherapy CPT Codes: 90832, 90834, and 90837

  • Are telehealth sessions (CPT Code above with modifier -95) covered?

  • Can I use my Health Savings Account to pay for therapy sessions?

  • What is the process for reimbursement?
